The main objective of the B31-3 program module is to calculate either the maximum allowable pressure given a corrosion allowance, or to calculate the corrosion allowance given a maximum allowable pressure. Pipe OD, wall thickness, stress value and mill tolerance will all influence the calculation outcome, and design temperature will effect the stress value of the pipe material and therefore change the calculation result as well.
